Pala Eyewear creates sustainable sunglasses to fund vision care projects across Africa. They are committed to sustainable design, small batch production, transparent supply chains, and partnerships with ethical suppliers. Their frames are made from plant-based bio-acetate, their non-polarized collection is made with Green Line lenses, their microfiber bags are made from recycled PET bottles, and their sunglass cases are handwoven from recycled plastic waste by women artisans working with CARE4Basket in Ghana. Packaging and promotional materials are recycled or Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. For every pair of sunglasses sold, Pala works with Vision Aid Overseas to support vision centers, dispensaries, screening and training programs, vitamins, prescription glasses, and corrective surgery across Africa. They also partner with TerraCycle to collect and recycle old frames and with One Tribe to protect rainforest trees. Pala Eyewear is a certified B Corporation.
