No Offence to Earth (NOTE) aims to revolutionize the stationery industry with innovative, environmentally responsible alternatives to plastic products. They started with plastic ballpoint pens because they are almost impossible to recycle, take hundreds of years to decompose, and an estimated 50 billion enter our landfills or oceans each year. NOTE developed a fully plastic-free pen from recycled newspaper and expanded to a plastic-free pen with a bamboo case, coconut shell cap, and recycled paper refill cartridge. Their refills were designed for compatibility with conventional pens to promote reuse and reduce waste. NOTE is working on new products that not only minimize environmental impact but also sustain and celebrate the craftsmanship of local Indian artisans. They conduct workshops on sustainable practices and the importance of biodiversity, organize environmental cleanups, and contribute to tree-planting campaigns.
