Choosing to support People and Planet First verified enterprises has direct social and environmental benefits, enables innovation, and accelerates the transition to an economy that puts people and the planet first.
People and Planet First global stewards, partner networks, and verified enterprises have developed a directory of Supporters that commit to purchasing from and supporting verified enterprises.
Supporters include People and Planet First verified enterprises, local independent businesses, nonprofits, foundations, corporations, government bodies, universities, and other institutions. Opportunities for individual engagement will be added in the future.
When Supporters add an eligible offer or commitment to the Supporter Directory, they receive a Supporter Badge.
Verified enterprises are able to add their offers directly at no cost and are recognized for identifying and referring other Supporters.
Other Supporters are subject to an annual review to prevent socialwashing and greenwashing.
The People and Planet First Supporter Directory will be improved over time based on community input.
Eligible support includes verifiable offers or commitments that directly benefit People and Planet First verified enterprises or ecosystem development. There are several common categories.
Examples might include:
– Pro bono professional services (skills-based volunteering)
– Free upgrades to premium services
– Free access to paid online events or training programs
– Free initial consultations or introductory offers
– Fee use of meeting rooms, warehouses, or other spaces
Examples might include:
– Extension of nonprofit discounts to verified enterprises
– Reduced rates for business services
– Reduced rates for materials and packaging
– Reduced rates for shipping and logistics
– Discounts on in-person events or training programs
Examples might include:
– Creating a list of supplies, products, and services to transition
– Transitioning a percent of purchasing spend
– Updating procurement policies to prioritize verified enterprises
– Prioritizing verified enterprises in retail stores
Examples might include:
– Grant opportunities that require verification
– Preferential investment in verified enterprises
– Offering upfront payments or trade financing
– Supporting local projects
– Investing in ecosystem building
Examples might include:
– Increasing visibility of verified enterprises on existing platforms
– Expanding market opportunities for verified enterprises
Examples might include:
– Preferential tax treatment for verified enterprises
– Providing premium shelf space for verified enterprises
– Onboarding downstream or upstream supporters
Traditional volunteering, general coaching and consulting services, and free public programs are not listed in the Supporter Directory.
Verified enterprises receive the Supporter badge when they add their own offers and commitments to the Supporter Directory and when they refer others.
If you are a verified enterprise with a special offer or commitment to share, go to www.goodmarket.global, click Account in the bottom menu to open your enterprise account page, and open the Marketplace Listings section at the top. Click the Add to Marketplace button, select Basic Listing, select Special Offer, and choose the type of support you are offering.
If this is not a global offer, select which regions are eligible. Currently eligibility can be added by region or country. If an offer is only open to a local area, you can include that in the title, the description, and the keywords section.
If you are making a purchasing commitment, make sure to include the types of supplies, products, and services you purchase.
Special offers automatically use the logo connected to your account so no image is required. When you’re done, click Publish. Your listing will automatically appear in the People and Planet First Supporter Directory.

If you know a business, nonprofit, foundation, corporation, government body, university, or other institution that might be interested in supporting or purchasing from People and Planet First verified enterprises, you can share the referral with supporters@peopleandplanetfirst.org.
Every Supporter that is added strengthens the movement and encourages more people to get involved.
If you are not a verified enterprise, the People and Planet First team will help add your listing to the Supporter Directory. You can contact them at supporters@peopleandplanetfirst.org with the following information:
1. Details on the type of support you are providing
2. If the support is not global, the regions that are eligible
3. A link to additional information if relevant
Supporters without People and Planet First verification are subject to an annual review to prevent socialwashing and greenwashing.
