Table Health is a functional medicine collective that offers comprehensive physician-guided programs to help people from all walks of life build practical, daily habits that support better health. Members are able to develop customized programs that include physician visits, expert nutrition and behavioral counseling, health workshops, cooking classes, movement studio classes, massage, and other bodywork. Their retail outlet, Table Market, offers a carefully curated selection of healthy, ethical, and environmentally responsible products. Table Health also has an onsite laboratory with discounted rates for community members with no insurance or high deductibles. Sponsorship opportunities, donation based class offerings, and revenue streams from corporate wellness programs help subsidize services for lower income groups. Table Health donates a percent of any surplus to local nonprofits that support community health and regenerative food systems in northern Michigan.

Pepper Valley Farm is organic certified for a wide range of fruits, vegetables, and spices, but there is a separate area zoned for animal husbandry and processing that is not certified yet. Their vision is to create a range of specialty meat products made from traceable, on-farm organic ingredients. Pepper Valley Farm currently offers free range eggs, roasted country chicken, chicken and pork yakitori skewers and satay, steamed bao buns, chili and pepper crusted ham, bacon, hot dogs, sausages, lingus, and chorizo. They use the organic jackfruit from the farm to produce polos steamed buns for vegans. Pepper Valley Farm has based their animal welfare practices and processed meats preservation on EU Organic standards and hopes to obtain organic certification for the full product range in the future. As part of their commitment to environmental responsibility, they installed a biogas plant to capture energy from the pig manure. The farm offers free meals and onsite accommodation to workers and provides schoolbooks for their children.

Ella Pad trains women garment workers in Bangladesh to make their own reusable sanitary napkins from fabric off-cuts. Partner garment factories provide materials and access to equipment because they see that the initiative reduces absenteeism and increases the wellbeing of their workers. Participating women produce the pads and manage the program within the factory. Surplus products are provided to family members free of charge. Ella Pad not only benefits women who are not able to afford commercial sanitary products, it also benefits the environment by reducing fabric waste and consumption of disposable plastic pads.

They were the first co-op in the United States to become a certified organic retailer. The Oryana Cafe serves as a community meeting space and performance venue for local musicians. Each year, they donate to dozens of local nonprofits including Food Rescue, a program that collects soon-to-expire fresh, healthy food and distributes it to food pantries, shelters, and community meal sites.

A percent of sales is donated to their partner nonprofit, On the Ground, which supports sustainable, equitable solutions in coffee growing communities. Higher Grounds also supports nonprofit organizations in their local community by developing custom branded blends and donating a portion of sales. The Higher Grounds Coffee Bar and Roastery is located in the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, one of the largest historic preservation and adaptive reuse redevelopments in the United States. The coffee bar prepares drinks using freshly roasted coffee and sustainably sourced local and organic ingredients.

The Energy & Environment team provides technical advisory services and design solutions related to energy efficiency, renewable technology, zero waste, carbon drawdown, and resilience. SEEDS Youth Conservation Corps is a green economy workforce development program. The Youth Corps is available for local projects including invasive species control, habitat restoration, trail development, light construction with a focus on black locust building materials, energy efficiency upgrades, historic preservation, small scale farming, and market management. SEEDS is contracted and supported by government agencies, tribal councils, companies, foundations, and individuals.

All profits are donated to the Trois Soeurs Education Fund in Benin which provides specialized tutoring and literacy programs for young people in the lowest economic quintile. The vision is a world in which education leads to meaningful employment and where individuals from all socioeconomic backgrounds are able to reach their potential.

Rizer manufactures textiles and T-shirts from recycled PET plastic bottles. More than 300 billion PET plastic bottles are produced each year and more than 80 percent end up polluting the environment and harming marine and land animals. Rizer aims to help reduce landfill waste and improve the income and wellbeing of waste collectors. They purchase, wash, sterilize, and grind PET plastic into flakes. These flakes are converted to polymer chips, yarn, and eventually fabric and finished textile products. The recycling process uses 30 percent less water and 45 percent less energy than production with virgin raw materials. Rizer uses Oeko Tex certified dyes and partners with local groups on coastal cleanups and reforestation initiatives.
