Communications Policy

The Good Market community spaces include Feedback, Chats, and Forums. By using any Good Market community spaces, you’re agreeing to this policy and the Terms of Use.

Guidelines

The purpose of the Good Market platform is to help all community members learn, improve, and work together to create a better world. The crowdsourced monitoring system helps ensure that the site is a constructive and healthy community space. If you see content on the site that does not match these guidelines, please take the time to flag it.

1. Constructive

Good Market is a space for people who are actively working to create the type of world they want to live in. It is a space to talk about what we are for rather than what we are against. Feedback or conversations that only criticize or attack may be flagged. The focus should be on learning, improving, and developing creative solutions.

2. Respectful

Community members are expected to use respectful language at all times. Hate speech, personal insults, harassment, threats, prejudiced remarks, bigotry, and calls for violence are not permitted.

3. Relevant

Conversations should be related to creating an economic system that is good for people and good for the planet. Make sure your content is relevant before posting. Replies to a conversation should be relevant to the conversation topic. If you want to discuss a new topic, you can start a new conversation and invite the same participants to join. Feedback on a profile page should be relevant to that enterprise.

4. Non-Commercial

The Community area of the site is for non-commercial communication. It can be used to share experiences, ask questions, seek help, and organize free meet ups. If you want to promote a product, service, job opportunity, commercial events, or any other type of commercial activity, you should apply, become Good Market approved, and add a listing to the marketplace.

5. Genuine

The Good Market platform facilitates offline connections including real-life meet-ups, events, partnerships, and trade relationships. This requires trust and transparency. Community members should use the name they go by in everyday life and interact in an authentic and genuine manner.

Flagging

If you have concerns about content in community spaces, flag the content to start a review process. If you receive an inappropriate message, report the content by clicking Help in the bottom menu to send a message to the Good Market team.

Good Market reserves the right to remove content from community spaces at any time for any reason, including, for example, content that violates community rules, content that was flagged by the community, or content that causes privacy issues.

If a community member violates the Communications Policy or other Terms of Use, they may be warned, temporarily suspended, or banned from further participation.
