FLINTS Coastal Permaculture empowers vulnerable and marginalized communities in Cliftonville through inclusive, nature-based programs that support mental health, build resilience, cultivate practical skills, and foster a deep connection with the natural coastal environment. They offer weekly sessions for children and caregivers that integrate permaculture principles, environmental education, crafts, singing, free play, and other creative practices. They also host monthly workshops for adults on topics like conscious parenting, nonviolent communication, and family wellbeing. FLINTS maintains a flexible pricing structure, works with community partners to provide free sessions for low-income families, adapts programs for neurodivergence and accessibility needs, and bridges language barriers through multilingual facilitation and translation aids. They are a Community Interest Company (CIC) and a member of Social Enterprise UK and the Margate Early Learning Community.
